Welcome to UK Working Cane Corso

Here at UK Working Cane Corso we aim to recreate a traditional working Cane Corso, producing and promoting healthy, athletic Corso's with sound temperaments suitable for varying Environments and true to the breed.

Our initial dogs can be traced back to some of the earliest recorded Cane Corso's and from these we've strived to replicate and continue promoting a high standard of Cane Corso, improving where possible

The Cane Corso is a medium- to large-sized hunting dog, robust and sturdy, yet elegant in appearance. With an athletic and lean body and powerful muscles, the Cane Corso makes an excellent watchdog, guard dog, tracker and is often hired as a police dog. The Cane Corso is always willing to please. Devoted to his family and naturally protective of children, the Cane Corso makes a fine family pet.

In medieval times, the Italian Corso Dog was used to carry valuables and run alongside his master, guarding his possessions and money in case of an attack. The Italian Corso Dog was known as a dog of great couraage and strength and he was fearless when fedending his masters. The Italian Corso Dog was known to come up against a wild boar or a bear and not back down.

The Cane Corso is essentially the same dog in this present day, however due to the near extinction of this breed it has been reproduced as closely to the originals as possible over the last fifty years. We aim to breed Corsos true to the breed without diluting them with other breeds that are suitable for work or pet purposes. Although historically the Corso is made up of other breeds, the original Corsos bred by Dr Breber are what we strive to replicate producing healthy, stable, athletic dogs. We can trace the lineage of our dogs back to the first recorded Cane Corsos.

All our dogs and puppies are micro chipped and fully registered with the ICCF. We can provide legally docked puppies within the legal guidelines. As responsible breeders we aim to give as much help or advice as required and keep detailed records of all our lines. Should anyone require help, training or need a dog temporarily homing or rehoming we are always happy to help.

We have had over a decades experience with Cane Corsos and over thirty years experience with working dogs. We have supplied dogs across Europe and have recently had our dogs shown in Romania and will be showing some of dogs in international shows next month, although showing is not a priority for ourselves we are happy for our dogs to be shown to increase public awareness of this great breed. For more details or information on any subject please contact us, as our site will be constantly updated.
